WHERE IS THE UMS?
The 2019 Underground Music Showcase spans up and down Broadway, starting at Moe’s BBQ to the north, and heading south all the way to Denver Distillery on South Broadway. Inside of this footprint, the UMS will have THREE outdoor stages:
Showcase Stage is located at Goodwill (21 S Broadway)
Odyssey Stage is located at Import Mechanics (235 Broadway)
Knockout Stage is located at Punch Bowl Social (65 Broadway)
Make sure to head to our website for a full listing, and download the app to stay as up to date as possible.
See venue and stage map HERE.
HOW DO I GET TO PLAY AT THE UMS?
We’ll contact you if interested. Submissions for 2020 will be open later this year! Stay tuned.
WILL YOU BE POSTING SET TIMES IN ADVANCE?
WHAT'S THE BEST TIME TO ARRIVE?
Make sure to head over to any of the THREE box offices located up and down Broadway. You should definitely plan to arrive early to be on the safe side. This way, you won’t miss your favorite artist(s). Parking in the Baker neighborhood is less than ideal in general, and we cannot stress the need to carpool, ride a bike/skateboard/rollerblade to the festival. For the easiest and fastest arrival and departure, take a Lyft. There will be designated Lyft pick up/drop off zones at each outdoor stage.

WHAT TIME DOES THE FESTIVAL END EACH DAY?
The outdoor stages will end promptly at 10:00 pm each night. For the rest of the venues… please pay attention to the festival schedule. Most venues stay open until 2:00 a.m… give or take a few minutes… but, we suggest taking a look at the schedule for more up-to-date and accurate listings of each stage and venue!
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE AT THE FESTIVAL? HOW HOT WILL IT BE DURING THE DAY AND HOW COLD WILL IT BE AT NIGHT?
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ENSURE MY SAFETY AT THE FESTIVAL?
We take safety and security VERY seriously. We work hand in hand with law enforcement and public protection agencies to help ensure the safety of our event. There are Denver Police officers and security at exits/entrances and roaming the event location. Their main focus is preventing harm for all attendees and ensuring patrons are participating in safe activities. If you see something, say something to an officer or a person in a UMS shirt and they will contact the appropriate authorities. There is also a medical staff at the festival during all times. They will be contacted right away if anything is to happen. During the festival, the medics will be roaming and ensuring all patrons are in good health and will have a radio to connect to all officers and UMS staff. In the case of an event, they are instructed to contact emergency services and do all they can on festival grounds.

ARE YOU HIRING VOLUNTEERS, PHOTOGRAPHERS/VIDEO PEOPLE, ETC FOR THE EVENT?
HOW DO I BECOME A FOOD VENDOR? ... OR A NON-FOOD VENDOR?
CAN I USE PASSES, WRISTBANDS OR THE UNDERGROUND MUSIC SHOWCASE (UMS) NAME TO PROMOTE MY BAND, EVENT, PRODUCT?
No, the Underground Music Showcase trademarks, intellectual property, passes, and wristbands may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests, sweepstakes or any commercial purpose. Our official festival sponsors do so with the express permission of the festival organizers.
CAN I SELL MY [INSERT CRAP I WANT TO SELL] IN THE FESTIVAL?
No. If you don’t have vending approval from the festival organizers, your items will be surrendered/confiscated.
WHERE CAN I FIND MY TICKETS?
You should have received an email with your tickets. Pull the QR code up on your phone ahead of time so you're ready to get in as quickly as possible. You may also print the tickets, but let's save some trees if possible! Also, as a reminder, make sure to have your ID ready at the door for a speedy entrance.
MY FRIEND PURCHASED MY TICKETS… WHAT DO I DO?
Holler at your friend for those tickets! They can email you, print them, or screenshot and text you the QR code.
IS THERE RE-ENTRY?
Yes, with wristband.
WHAT IF I LOSE MY WRISTBAND?
Don't lose it. You will have to purchase a new ticket if you lose your wristband. Head over to the main stage box office if this happens to you.
WHERE CAN I GET WATER?
We will have free water stations at each of the outdoor stages, and UMS water bottles for sale at the merch booth! Remember to stay hydrated out there. We also suggest popping into one of the many businesses up and down Broadway to grab some water.
WILL THERE BE FOOD AVAILABLE?
You bet! The best part about this… there’s an endless amount of food options up and down Broadway. We recommend everything and anything. And -- especially Illegal Pete’s, they’re our official burrito partner this year and we’ll likely have at least six throughout the weekend. Bring your UMS ticket to Illegal Pete’s and you’ll get a free beer or house marg with the purchase of an entree. Some of the outdoor stages will have food trucks, and there’s a good chance a grip of those will be parked up and down Broadway.
Food trucks will also be stationed at Knockout Stage (Punch Bowl Social) throughout the weekend.
Not on our festival site! All of our point of sale terminals will be credit card or exact cash only.
WILL THERE BE ATMS?
I’M NOT 21 OR MY CHILD ISN’T 21… WHAT CAN I DO?
The Underground Music Showcase is intended to be open and accessible to all. However, certain realities and laws are worth noting.
This is a music festival occurring in many indoor and outdoor venues. It will be loud, it might be hot, it might be crowded. Please keep that in mind in considering bringing children.
The majority of the indoor venues are 21+, with the exception of Exceptions: Moe’s, The Church, Mutiny Information Cafe, Denver Drumz & Music, The Library, and Metropolis Coffee. Regardless of what ticket or wristband you have, no one under the age of 21 will be admitted to the majority of indoor venues.
Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Kids under the age of 10 are free. 10+ must purchase a valid ticket.
CAN I BRING MY FURRY FRIEND?
Unfortunately, not unless it's a service dog. Hairy humans are welcome.
HOW DO I GET A HOLD OF THE TICKETING COMPANY? WHO DO I TALK TO IF I HAVE ORDER QUESTIONS?
CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY TICKETS AT WILL CALL?
Yes. All you’ll need is the customized QR code from your ticketing email.
ARE THERE SINGLE DAY PASSES?
I ACCIDENTALLY DAMAGED MY WRISTBAND. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Any damaged or tampered with wristbands will not be allowed for use accessing the festival. You may inquire further via email at firstname.lastname@example.org to address your issue specifically. Or, visit one of the box offices.
IS A 3-DAY FESTIVAL PASS THREE SEPARATE TICKETS?
No. A three-day pass is a single wristband that is worn for the entire weekend.
Do not buy passes from a 3rd party or scalper. We will not offer customer service, authentication or support for any passes purchased through any 3rd parties.
Scalped passes are subject to cancellation at any time without warning.
CAN I SELL / GIVE MY WEEKEND PASS TO A FRIEND? HOW?
Sure, but we highly suggest you attend yourself! Simply forward your confirmation email to your friend so they can redeem it at one of the box offices. Please note… once a festival ticket has been scanned once -- that’s it!
THERE ARE QUITE A FEW ACTS PERFORMING DURING THE UMS. DOES MY WRISTBAND LET ME SEE ALL OF THEM?
Your UMS wristband gets you access to each and every performance. Keep in mind, however, that many artists will be performing at the same time and some areas will have limited capacities. You should plan accordingly and arrive early if there’s a particular performer you really want to see. Also, the lineup is always subject to change whether due to volcanoes or any other reason.
HEY SINCE MARIJUANA IS LEGAL NOW, THAT MEANS I CAN USE IT AT THE UMS RIGHT?
Nope. Marijuana or marijuana products are NOT allowed inside the Underground Music Showcase. If that changes we will update this answer.
WHAT ARE CONSIDERED "PROFESSIONAL" CAMERAS AND DIGITAL CAMERAS?
Professional cameras are digital cameras or any cameras with a removable lens.
WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH PARKING?
There isn’t much! We recommend taking it safe. Walk, rollerblade, or better yet… ride a bike to the festival and park it at of the many bike racks up and down Broadway! This will also make moving between venues much easier and quicker! The streets surrounding the UMS festival footprint are for those who live/work there. Let’s not make this any harder on anyone. Plus, safe, alternative transportation rules!
FROM 5TH TO ALAMEDA IS A REALLLLLLY FAR. HOW DO I GET AROUND EASIER?
We’ve partnered with e-Tuk to provide safe FREE rides up and down Broadway (and surrounding streets) on Friday and Saturday evening. They’ll be doing runs between all the outdoor stages from 6 - 11 pm each night. Lyft is doing $1 rides within this map all weekend. Take advantage of it! Ride a bike, or take a walk and take in the sights and experience all that Broadway has to offer.
WHERE CAN I PARK MY RV OR MOTORHOME? IS THERE RV/MOTORHOME CAMPING?
Sorry, there is no parking or camping for RVs or motorhomes.
WHERE IS THE NEAREST TRAIN OR BUS STOP?
WHERE IS THE NEAREST GAS STATION, DRUGSTORE, FOOD PLACE, GROCERY STORE, COFFEE SHOP, ETC?
There’s a number of convenience stores up and down Broadway.
Google is your friend!
WHAT IF I'M ARRIVING IN A LIMO?
This obviously means you know how to plan ahead. Please have your driver drop you off in safe location near any of the three outdoor stages.
Backpacks, purses, handbags, and fanny packs are allowed! Bag check will happen at the entrance of each outdoor stage.

IS THERE SEATING AT THE FESTIVAL / CAN I BRING SOME?
All three of the outdoor stages are ADA accessible.
WILL THERE BE ADA ACCOMMODATIONS?
Nope! If you need to smoke, please make sure to do it outside of the festival grounds. We like to keep a clean environment for our guests and since your wristband grants you access all day long, we ask that you smoke outside!
IS THERE SMOKING OF ANY KIND ALLOWED?
No. We will have full-service bars at all of the outdoor stages ready for you to imbibe all day long.
CAN I BRING ALCOHOL IN?
Lose something? Head over to the info booth located near the box office at the Showcase Stage, just outside of Goodwill on Broadway and Archer!
